The Miracle Liver Cleanse Quick Guide

Why You Need to Read this Liver Flush Quick Guide:

Hey there! So in a previous post The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse. Well the Quick Guide I promised is here! I originally created this guide for a friend who was interested in doing the Liver Flush but didn’t have time to read the book. What started as an email to help out a friend ended up being the most important resource I used every time I did a flush. Doing this liver flush saved my life (you can read more about that in my other post) and is something everyone should do for better health.

Why not just read the book?

You should.  This is just a quick reference guide to help you get you started on your first flush. The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse by Andreas Moritz has a lot of important info on how and why the liver flush helps your body so I still recommend that you read it. My only problem is that the book doesn’t have any good reference material which is what this post offers. What you’ll find when you’re doing the liver cleanse is that you need to reference the schedule and some details that are ultra important that aren’t easy to go back and find in the book. Let’s be honest, which chronically ill person has the time or energy to pour over 300 + pages and highlight all the important parts to reference? My first cleanse I was so excited to start that I skimmed the book, missed some pertinent information and then had an uncomfortable and less effective liver cleanse. Then I went back and re-read what I missed and thought, “Well damn! I wish I hadn’t missed that!” I just want to prevent you from making the same mistakes.

Because I find the information in this guide I’ve created as invaluable to my journey to health I was originally planning on making it into an ebook. But then I realized why not just make it easy? Get the word out there for people who need to start right away? So I decided to make it a post so you can get started as soon as possible. You’re welcome 😉

Liver flush Guide

(Read the whole guide before you start!)

Summary of the Protocol

Drink one 8 ounce glass of tart cherry juice or 32 ounces of apple juice every day for six days. On the sixth day you will stop eating at noon and follow an evening schedule of drinking Epsom salts and finally end with a combination of grapfruit juice and olive oil.

The malic acid in the tart cherry juice and/or apple juice is what causes the softening of the stones, and other junk in the liver so that it can be expelled. You might see some of this come out before the day of the actual flush.

How To Prepare For Your First Flush

  •  Make sure you are ready for the commitment but don’t put it off either!

Remember this liver cleanse is not a one time shot. If you only do one flush it will cause you trouble. You need to do a series of flushes 1 to 2 months apart until the liver is completely clean and you have no stones come out during the flush. The reason for this is because after your first flush congestion will slowly begin to move down the liver and block the bile ducts. If you wait too long between flushes your symptoms will come back with a vengeance. So far I’ve been cleansing for 5 months and I’m no where near done. Some people are done in a few months, others will take longer…some people, like myself, need to cleanse for a year or more. But trust me, it’s worth it. Don’t let fear get in the way of attaining better health!

  • Try to start eliminating processed foods especially those with lots of oils and fats, spices, dairy and meats

These place a burden on the liver and once you flush you will become acutely aware of which foods cause you trouble. Your liver literally begins to control what you eat. If I eat processed foods now my body has a fit, so now I have a different diet cause my liver just won’t put up with anything it doesn’t like. Especially the day of the cleanse, avoid these foods at all costs, else you might experience some discomfort during the flush.

    • Schedule a Colonix BEFORE you start the flush

Many Colonix specialists cannot get you an appointment on short notice making you wait up to a month or two! I learned this one the hard way my first flush. The toxicity backed up so bad from my clogged colon I thought I was going to have to pay a visit to the hospital. It is ideal to do a Colonix before AND after the flush, but it is expensive. If you’re broke like me then you can just schedule one AFTER the flush. (This one cannot be skipped! It is a necessity, fiber or any other type of colon cleansing will not work) I now make an appointment usually a few weeks in advance and I plan my flush to end 2 days before my Colonix appointment.

    • Buy an enema bag

If you want to minimize the toxicity symptoms you will be feeling during and after a flush you’re going to have to get used to doing enemas, at least while you’re flushing and a few days after. Even with the Colonix there was so much toxic matter my liver was flushing that I couldn’t properly eliminate without the enemas and found this completely necessary for several days after. I got a hot water bottle/enema combo. Be sure to rinse and wash out with soap and warm water before first use to remove any potentially toxic residue in the bag. It is better to use a glass one because I’m sure the rubber ones aren’t as healthy.

      The Liver Flush Scehdule

You have drank 8 ounces of tart cherry juice or 32 ounces of apple juice every day for six days and now on the sixth day it’s time for the flush. It is important to follow each step carefully.

      • Do NOT eat after 2 pm

Eat a light breakfast and/or lunch that has minimal fats/proteins. If eaten in excess the cleanse might be more uncomfortable and if you eat too late you may not get the best results.

      The Night of The Flush

      • 6:00 pm: Drink 1st glass of Epsom salts

Take 3 Tablespoons of Epsom salts and mix thoroughly with 24 ounces of water and split evenly between 4 glasses. (Each glass should be about 3/4 of a cup). Drink the 1st glass now.

      • 8:00 pm: Drink your 2nd glass (3/4 cup) now.
      • 9:30 pm: Do a water enema

If you have not done a Colonix in the last 24 hours and you still aren’t having several bowel movements do a water enema now.

      • 9:45 pm: Prepare the grapefruit and olive oil mixture.

Mix 4 ounces of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice with 4 ounces of extra virgin organic cold-pressed olive oil. Shake mixture 20 times or so until emulsified.

      • 10:00: Drink mixture down quickly and lay down straight away, try not to move or talk for at least 20 minutes.

Go to sleep if you can but if you need to get up for more bowel movements don’t stress.

      The Morning After

      • 6:00 – 6:30 am: Drink 3rd glass of Epsom salts.

You can do this upon awakening, but not before 6am. Sleeping in a little bit probably won’t hurt just make sure its not too late.

      • 8:00 – 8:30 am: Drink 4th glass of Epsom salts
      • 10:00 – 10:30 am: you can have your first piece of fruit or some juice
      • Noon- you can eat a small light meal (preferably a salad or something easy to digest)

Continue eating light through the next couple days, remember your body had “major surgery” and should be treated gently.

      The Kidney Cleanse

After the liver flush your kidneys will be a bit burdened from trying to filter out all the toxins and the Epsom salts. You will need to do a small kidney flush using a relatively inexpensive combination of herbs that you make into a tea. You can find it at your local health-food store.
Ideally you should drink a few cups of the tea everyday for 20 or 30 days in between liver flushes for complete kidney cleansing. However, drinking the tea for a few days after the liver flush will help reduce the burden on the kidneys.

      The kidney Flush Tea Recipe

      • Marjoram (1 oz)
      • Comfrey Root (2 oz)
      • Chicory Herb (2 oz)
      • Hydrangea Root (2 oz)
      • Marshmallow Root (2 oz)
      • Cat’s Claw (1 oz)
      • Fennel Seed (2 oz)
      • Uva Ursi (2 oz)
      • Gravel Root (2 oz)
      • Golden Rod Herb (2 oz)

You can get these herbs in bulk at the health food store, mix them together and keep them in an air-tight container. The night before each day soak 3 heaping tablespoons in two cups of water. The following morning simmer the mixture for 10 – 15 minutes and sip between meals throughout the day and drink lots of water.

I hope you found this guide helpful. It really is a life changing cleanse and will help with so many different kinds of symptoms. For me a side bonus was losing 10 pounds from my waist. It’s truly an amazing cleanse and will help you look and feel your best. Just do it 😉 Happy cleansing!
